Aoxomoxoa

Aoxomoxoa

Although Aoxomoxoa's songs are relatively more concise than the sprawling numbers of the band’s previous album, Anthem of the Sun, this psychedelic soiree is just as trippy in its own right. It introduces a number of the Dead's live staples, like the galloping "St. Stephen" and the sprightly "China Cat Sunflower," but it also offers such lesser-known delights as the harpsichord-adorned folk ballad "Mountains of the Moon," the acid raga "What's Become of the Baby," and the acoustic, effects-slathered "Rosemary."
