Mortillery

About Mortillery

A hard-hitting, female-fronted Canadian thrash/punk-metal outfit based out of Edmonton, Alberta, Mortillery draws inspiration from a wide berth of stalwart noise-makers, including Judas Priest, Slayer, English Dogs, Metallica, and Iron Maiden. Founded in 2008, the band went through a flurry of lineup changes before settling on the core lineup of Cara McCutchen (lead vocals), Alex Gutierrez (guitar), Kevin Gaudet (drums), Miranda Wolfe (bass), and Kent Quinlan (guitar). The band issued an eponymous EP in 2010, followed by their independently released full-length debut, Murder Death Kill, in 2011. The following year saw the group ink a deal with Napalm Records, who reissued their debut worldwide, and in 2013 they released their sophomore studio long-player Origin of Extinction. Shapeshifter, the band's third full-length outing, followed in 2016. ~ James Christopher Monger
